Royal Hoopers Vow To Defend Basketball Title

The Chief Coach of Royal Hoopers Basketball Club Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Ogoh Odaudu has expressed optimism that his club would successfully defend the basketball league title this season.

Odaudu, made this known in an exclusive interview with the Tidesports in Port Harcourt.

He said that the players have resumed intensive training sessions as the league would dunk off on the 20th of this month.

The Chief Coach explained that his players are determined and  have vowed to successfully defend the title.  Also, they are targeting to win a continental tournament  this year.

“I must say that my players are in top shape. We are going to work hard to ensure that we emerge victorious in all our competitions this year in order to make the State and Nigeria proud”, Odanudu said.

He used the forum to appeal to the state government through the Commissioner for Sports to release funds on time to enable the club execute their matches, especially the away games.

Odaudu further appealed to basketball funs to come and watch their league matches and cheer the team to victory.
