Rivers Abula Team Vows To Dominate Medals In Lagos

Coach of Rivers State Abula team, one of the national traditional sports, Paul Asaah, has reassured Rivers people that they would defend the three gold medals won at the 17th National Sports Festival when the 18th edition scheduled to hold this year in Lagos comes underway.

Coach Asaah, declared this early in the during an exclusive chat with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.

According to him, the team was doing their part by preparing adequately for the task ahead.

He said that, it now behoves on the state government to do their part by providing the necessary support and as well send the athletes into camp early, so as to get the desired result.”

In fact the team is set to face challenges associated with the 18th NSF, because, they are in high spirit and  physically fit for any task”. He said.

The State Abula boss, noted that since Imo 96″ National sports Fiesta, Rivers has been the defending champions in the sport (Abula) saying that, the team would continue to sustain the victory in as much as the desired encouragement is given to the athletes.

He however, promised to do his best in ensuring that the team achieved the desired result at the Lagos 2012 fiesta.

“It would be recalled that Rivers Abula  won available three gold at stake for the Abula competition at the Garden City Games 2011:, the (male, Female and the mixed events.
