NTTF Bankrolls Bankole’s Burial

The Coach of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) Nasiru Bello, says the body will bear the entire burial expenses of late national tennis player Yomi Bankole who died on January 29.

Bello told  newsmen yesterday in Lagos that the decision became necessary in order to dispel rumours that the federation was not ready to assist the family.

The family of the late table tennis ace had complained that they lacked the means to bear the burial expenses of the deceased player.

The coach further stated that the decision was taken after the family had held a meeting with some members of the board of the NTTF, where it decided to bear full responsibility for the burial expenses.

‘’We have been having series of meeting with the children, we are going to bankroll everything, we have paid for the embalmment and we have money for coffin,’’ he said

‘’The secretary of the NTTF a member of the board and myself concluded with the Bankole family on this issue and any other story you hear is fake’’, Bello said.
