Enyimba Unveils Eguavoen As TA

Former Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen has finally returned to Enyimba as their new technical adviser, TA.

Eguavoen, who was unveiled in Aba midweek before the Nigeria Premier League week six encounter against Ocean Boys, has promised to lift the standard in the team.

“I want to do my best for the team. I have been here before and I know how the club operates,” said Eguavoen, who led the Super Eagles to a bronze medal finish at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I have also watched the players in match situations and I believe we have a crop of players that can win the Premier League trophy this season. I seek the cooperation of everybody in this task of repositioning the club.”

The coach recently resigned from the Nigeria Olympic team that failed to qualify for the London 2012 games.

Enyimba finished in seventh position last season.
