Two Docked Over Alleged Possession Of Human Skull

Two men, Muritala Bature, 30, and Tunzon Sylvester, 25, were on Thursday docked before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court over alleged possession of human skull.

The accused are standing trial on a one-count charge of being in possession of a dried human skull.

The Prosecutor, Asp. Jack Asuquo alleged that they were arrested on Dec. 2, 2011 at Seme Border, in Lagos.

He said that the accused could not give a satisfactory account of how they got the skull.

Asuquo said that the accused committed the offence under Section 212 and punishable under Section 236, (3), Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State 2011.

They, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Judge, T. Abolarinwa, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned till Feb. 6, for further hearing.
