Rivers PDP May Return Party Exco

The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), may return all the members of the  state executive members of the party and some local government executives committe members.

Sources close to the party in the state hinted that due to the performance of the executives in the state, the party hierarchy was considering returning the Chief Godspower. Ake-led state executives.

The sources also disclosed that some local government officials of the party may lose their position.

Local government areas such as Port Harcourt,Obio/Akpor, Ogu/Bolo, Emohua and Ahoada West are  reporedly engulfed in a crisis over who heads the party.

The Tide was hinted that the suspended Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon Chimbiko Akarolo, and the chairman of  the Rivers State Local Government Service commission, Chief Azubuike Mmerukini, are in conflict over who produces the chairman of party.

The Tide gathered that the two opposing camps are working differently to ensure that candidates of their choice head the executive.

All effort to contact the chairman and secretary of the party in the state was not successful last Wednesday.
