Subscribers have tasked network providers on the need to improve on their services in order to avoid the poor network that was witnessed last year.

A subscriber that gave his name as Prince Kelechi Igwe, said the later part of last year witnessed poor network provision by telecommunications companies in the country.

Igwe, explained that it ought not to be so, judging from the huge amount subscribers are paying daily.

He noted that Nigerians pay more than people in other countries of the world in the area of telecommunications, adding that they also need to enjoy their money.

Other subscribers like Kunle Akin, said the Federal Government should step in and monitor the activities of network providers to enable them sit up.

Akin, frowned at a situation where one would make over three minutes call with out reeiving a clear feedback from the receiver.

He told our reporter that it is high time Nigerians formed a formidable consumers association that will enable them channel their grievances to the appropriate quarters.

Though he was not specific about any network provider, but said that even the foremost telecoms provider in the country is not doing any better.

While lamenting over the increment of ten per cent in the price of N100, N200 and N400 recharge cards, he said all  network providers in the country should be investigated to ascertain why they are selling recharge cards beyond the market price.

It would be recalled that the prices of recharge cards (N100, N200 and N400) are yet to go down after they were increased late last year.
