This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mr Sheik Goni, and made available to newsmen.
The statement said the committee would be chaired by Senator Udoma Udo Udoma while the ministry’s Legal Adviser would serve as the secretary.
Members of the committee include Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Senator Lawan Shuaibu and Hon. Chibudom Nwuche.
The rest are Hon. Abdullahi Gumel, Hon. Habeeb Fashinro and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) President, Mr Peter Esele.
The statement said the committee would be inaugurated on Thursday, January 19 at the ministry’s offices in Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that the passage of the PIB bill, which is expected to transform operations in the oil industry, has faced some delay at the National Assembly since its introduction.
