24 Shell Skills Trainees Get Starter Packs

The Obonma Community Trust (CT) under the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) has presented starter packs to 24 Skills Acquisition Trainees from the community.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony in Port Harcourt recently, representative of SPDC at the occasion Sir Amadi Worlu said that the company was happy with the Obonoma Community Trust for the effective implementation of the GMOU.

Sir Worlu who is the Adviser to the Akuku-Toru cluster Development Board said that SPDC not only valued the partnership, but will also continue to drive it to ensure even development in SPDC’s host communities.

He used the occasion to call on beneficiaries of the programme to put the items into judicious use.

Also speaking, the chairman of the Akuku-Toru Cluster Development Board, Chief Monday Goddey Kuku thanked the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) for ensuring that all the cluster boards get funds for their projects.

Chief  Kuku who also commended the Obonoma community trust for the judicious utilisation of resources at its disposal also urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the items given to them.

The lawmaker representing Akuku-Toru constituency I, Hon Onari Brown represented by Omubo Micah said that the event will help to improve the economy of the community.

He stressed the need for the beneficiaries to put it into judicious use.

The chairman of the Obonoma Community Trust, Deacon Jolly Jonah noted that the programme was to empower the youths of the community.
