2012 Africa Cup Of Nations Kicks Off, ’Morrow
The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations begins tomorrow in Bata, Equatorial Guinea with the opening match between the Nzalang Nacional (National Lighting) of Equatorial Guinea and their Libyan counterparts at the newly opened stadium in Bata.
The 24th edition of the ‘African Mondial’ a being co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and neighbours, Gabon is expected to throw up a new champion for the first time in about three edition.
This is as a result of the absence of six time Winners, Egypt, who failed to qalify alongside other big names live Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa.
However, the Black Stars of Ghana who will play in Group D, the Elephants of Ivory Coast in Group B, and Senegal in Group A have been installed on the top three favourites to emerge champions when the find is decided in Gabon on Sunday February 12, 2012.
