Councillor Hails Appointment Of Aides

A Councillor in Omuma local government council of Rivers State, has expressed satisfaction with the chairman of the council over the choice and appointment of supervisors, special assistants and the subsequent inauguration of the officers.

Speaking with The Tide, the spokesman of the councillors, Mr. Lamber Nwuchegbuo described the appointments of the supervisors as a welcome development, noting that they would help the executive to achieve its set goals.

Nwuchegbuo who represents Ward 5 in the local government and heads Works Committee charged the contractor handling the model primary school at Umuoyoro to ensure early completion of the project which will impact positively on the people.

The councillor who was not happy with the slow pace of work said the project have been abandon by the contractor, stating that the site has been covered by bush and weeds.

While also commending the Governor of Rivers State in Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for raising the standard of Education in Rivers State also reminded the contractors the present administration at all levels were determined to make changes that people can see and feel.

He however commended the people for their support and commitment during and after the National and local government Elections, noted that the Chairman of Omuma local government was determined to give the people effective and purposeful representations.
