ACN Councillor Defects To PDP In ELGA

The councillor representing Egbu/Ihie Ward Two in Etche Legislative Assembly under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria Party (ACN), Mr. Njoku Stanley has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area.

Speaking at the declaration   ceremony held at Egbu Etche on Sunday, Mr. Njoku said his decision to join the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area was taken after wide consultation with stakeholders in his ward.

He stated that his move to join PDP was the will of God as he advised his supporters who joined him to the new party to remain supportive.

According to him, joining the ruling party in the area would give him the needed opportunity to represent the people of the area effectively and attract developmental projects to the ward and local government in general.

The councillor promised to contribute his quota to the development of the party in the local government area especially Egbu/Ihie Ward and lauded the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Etche for the opportunity given to him and his supporters to join the party.

Also speaking, the PDP Chairman Ward Two in Etche Local Government Area, Mr. Njoku David Anele commended the councillor and his numerous supporters for taking the decision to join the party noting that PDP is the largest party in Africa.

He expressed confidence that Stanley Njoku would contribute to the success of the PDP in the area and assured him of the support of the Party’s executive in the ward.

Earlier in his speech, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman in the local government area, Hon. Magnus Uzoma Nwiyi who received the councillor and his supporters to the party assured them of the party’s support at all times.

Hon. Nwiyi enjoined members of the party in the area to give the councilor and his supporters the needed assistance to enable them serve the party very well in the area.
