Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, has pledged that his government will continue to consult traditional rulers in the state to ensure positive development in their domains.

Oshiomhole made the pledge on Sunday, in Uromi, headquarters of Esan North East, at the 20th Coronation anniversary of Anslem Odaloghe Edenojie II, the Ojuromi of Uromi.

Reeling out the projects his administration had executed in Uromi, Oshiomhole said that one of the first contracts awarded by his administration was the Isua road in the area, which had reached an advanced stage.

“Your Royal highness, I recall vividly your statement when I visited your palace to campaign, you asked that we must not forget Uromi, and I promised: `if we win, I will not’’’

“Again in compliance with my pledge, we are also doing another road, the Uzenema road, and it is under construction.”

He further said that the Amedokhian-Ugboha road was also under construction.

On education, Oshiomhole said that his administration had constructed the primary schools in Opoji and Okpuji, among other projects under construction in the area.

“These are schools we have built with red aluminium roof, with aluminium windows, beautified tiles and aesthetic ceilings; one that both the child of the rich and poor will be happy to go to.”

Oshiomhole said that in the area of health, the government had constructed three health centres in Uromi, while others were under construction.

“At least, two bore-holes have been sunk in Uromi, under the Millennium Development Goal programme.

“These are not the end, but just the beginning of the things we intend to do for the good people of Uromi because they deserve it, they merit it and they are entitled to enjoy them,’’ he said.

Earlier, the Ojuromi had said that his reign had been peaceful and full of progress.

He thanked Uromi sons who contributed to the building of a modern palace for him.
