Mr. Oluruntemi told newsmen in Akure on Sunday, that N15.1 million was also disbursed to Fadama Community Associations in 14 local government areas of the state on October 13.

He said that 41 small-scale community-owned projects such as market stalls, bore holes and culverts were ongoing in the state.

In addition, he said, 1,192 assets, including water pumps, canoes, goat pens and fish ponds had either been procured or constructed in the state.

The commissioner said that 199 Fadama User Groups had benefited from the project, while 37 others were advised on how to manage their crops, livestock and fishery.

“I want to use this medium to appeal to farmers who have benefited from this programme at one time or the other to make judicious use of the fund.

“At the same time, I am calling on other farmers who have not benefited to step up their efforts to access the fund, he said.”
