Muslim Women Get 200 Bags Of Rice
The wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs Olukemi Mimiko, on Thursday in Akure donated 200 bags of rice to the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) in the state.
She promised to continue to assist the Muslim community and every other women group in the state.
Mimiko, represented by the wife of the Head of Service, Mrs Eunice Kedehinbu, said the motive was to put smiles on the faces of children and families during the Sallah celebration.
She promised that the administration would not hesitate to render necessary assistance to the people of the state, irrespective of their religious or political affliations.
Mimiko reiterated government’s commitment to the implementation of people-oriented programmes to improve their welfare and standard of living.
“We are committed to the welfare of the people of the state and will not relent in providing the basic needs of life for them.”
The Muslim women organisation has expressed appreciation to Mimiko for her regular assistance to the Muslim community in the state, particularly during Eld-el-Kabir celebrations.
