IT Outfit Equips 300 Youths With Skills
Lightbox has empowered youths with information technology (IT) skills, as part of efforts to discourage youth restiveness in the country.
The lightbox coordinator and director of lucid Audio visuals, the public relation, advertising and publicity studio, Mr. Stanlee Ohikhuare, said the participants were taken through animation UFX, photo and video graph, sound audio design, etc.
Speaking at a press conference in Port Harcourt, recently, Ohikhuare explained that the “heads up” annual seminars was aimed at addressing prevalent social issues unique to the immediate society, which major facilitators were consulted to execute trainings geared towards next generation of Nigerian leaders.
According to him, the programme was a light value added service to the society and also a way of giving to the society.
“They will be going back as changed people with requisite skill to stand on their own, we are starting with 300 now, when the capacity increases, we can increase the number, we are providing all facilities for them to come and learn free of charge from experts in these areas”, he said.
Patrick Ohikhuare noted that the ultimate goal of the training was to give the beneficiaries the best in whatever they chose to train on.
“Our target audience are secondary school levers, who are not doing anything now or who are awaiting result. We want to keep them busy with training on those special areas they could find their strength”, he said.
Meanwhile, a co-ordinator of lightbox, Mr. Fegho Umunubo said the aim of the press conference was to create awareness and inform members of the public and intending beneficiaries to leverage on the gesture to improve their lives.
