Dolphins Supporters Club Charges RSG On Welfare Package

Chairman Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt Supporters Club, Otis Asonye, has appealed to Rivers State Government to improve the welfare package of the players.

Asonye who made the appeal in an exclusive interview with Tidesports, yesterday, in Port Harcourt, said that welfare in all aspects would motivate the players to give positive result.

He also wants the state government to provide bus for the supporters club and the team to enable them discharge their duties.

According to him, now that the team has qualified for the CAF Champions league, it is necessary for the club to have a bus to travel without stress.

“We the supporters club need bus to enable us travel with the team to give them needed support in their matches.

You know that fans support changes tempo of any game,” Asonye said.

He said the achievements of Dolphins had made the state proud and commended the state government for its support to achieve this feat.

Asonye used the opportunity to urge players of the team not to be carried away by their present forum.

He however told the players to be prepared for the CAF league and also defend the league title while calling on members of the supporters club to be more committed for next season.
