Dolphins, Sunshine FC Target Heartland Players

There are strong indications  that Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt and Sunshine Stars FC of Akure have invaded the camp of Heartland FC of Owerri in search of quality players to beef up their teams ahead of the CAF Champions League games next year.

A close source to Heartland FC who wants to remain ananimous told Tidesports that negotiations to sign on some key players to Dolphins and Sunshine Stars have reached an advanced stage and that a reasonable amount of money has been committed in to the project especially players who have graciously accepted to be signed on.

“Honestly, I can assure you that the target players in Heartland FC have been grumbling seriously over the inability of the Imo State government to open up on what kind of package they have for the team ahead of the confederation cup battle next year.

“In fact, apart from the N1million given to the players of Heartland FC for winning the  Federation Cup this year, nothing more has been said concerning the players’ welfare ahead of next year’s confederation cup that is almost around the corner,” the source disclosed further.

It would be recalled that Dolphins and Sunshine Stars emerged champions and runners-up of this year’s Nigeria Premier League (NPL) battle respectively and will be flying Nigeria’s flag in the prestigious orange CAF Champions League next soccer season.
