The Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) has concluded plans to establish a skills acquisition centre in the city.

Chief Eleanya Okoroji, the President of the chamber, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen  in Aba.

Okoroji said the centre would train and re-train technicians to enhance the management of the industrial revolution that would soon commence in the city.

The president also said that the leadership of ACCIMA would work hard to make the chamber the engine room for industrial transformation in the state.

He further said the chamber would work to achieve technological transfer from the developed economies of the world through trade missions and international business partnership.

The proposed Isiala-Ngwa Inland Container Depot, he added, was another major project capable of boosting industrial development in the state.

Okoroji, however, urged the Abia Government to ensure the realisation of the ACCIMA initiative while pledging readiness to partner with government at all levels.
