Winner of the 2011 Women’s Federation Cup, Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt now have their eyes set on winning the double, the League and Federation Cup titles next season.

Towards achieving these, the club is set to re-enforce the team with quality players in the coming days.

This was disclosed at the weekend by the Team Manager of the club, Matilda Opuene, in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcurt.

According to her, the management of the club will recruit new players for next season to ensure that they secure the double in the next soccer season.

“Definitely, we will recruit new players for the 2011/2012 League Season, some players would be dropped and new ones recruited to beef up the team for the task ahead,” she said.

Meanwhile, the team has gone on recess which began on the fourth of this month. The players are expected to return by the seventh of next month.

Opuene commended the performance of the players during the just-concluded FA Cup and the Super-Six-Play-Off, saying that they narrowly missed the Super-Six trophy.
