NAMA Explains Recent Appointments
The chairman of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, has disclosed that the recent appointments made in the aviation industry were based on professionalism and experience.
The NAMA boss stated this while addressing union leaders at the Lagos headquarters of NAMA on the changes in management that brought in Mr. Nnamdi Udoh as the new managing director of the agency.
“What the federal government is trying to do now is to look in ward by appointing professionals and dedicated management staff with experience at the helm of affairs”, he said.
He added that the appointment of such a person should engender stability and promotion of industrial harmony in a sensitive agency like NAMA.
He enjoined the union leaders to work in harmony and cooperate with the new management to move the agency forward in the provision of high quality air traffic services.
Meanwhile South African Airways (SAA) has announced plans to launch three new routes to Cotonou (Benin Republic), Bujamba (Burundi) and Kigali (Rwanda) from October 31.
