Festival Team Seeks Support
The Assistant Captain of Rivers State Festival Football team, Livingstone Thomas, has appealed to the state government to assist the financially to enable it perform during the forthcoming sports festival expected to held in Lagos next year.
Thomas made the appeal on Wednesday in an exclusive chat with Tidesports in Port Harcourt. According to him the state football team under the supervision of Tony Chuku has been training intensively to ensure that the team defend the trophy it won during the 17th games tagged “Garden City Games 2011” held in Port Harcourt.
He said that the coach has been the source of the teams inspiration, and support and commended him for keeping the together.
I want to personally thanked the team coach for his support and encouragement towards the players which has no doubt motivated as to a large extent,” he said.
Thomas therefore appealed to the state government to give necessary support to the team to enable the players have a hitch-free preparation ahead of the NSF games.
