Daily Trust Re-Schedules Golf Meet, For February

The 2nd Daily Trust Corporate Golf tournament earlier scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos has been re-scheduled for February 4, 2012.

The postponement was occasioned by the heavy rains that left the Ikoyi Club Golf Course waterlogged.

A statement released in Lagos this week, by General Manager, Business and Strategy of Media Trust, Aliu Akoshile had said a new date would be announced for the tournament.

Many golf loyalists including Segun Runsewe, Daily Trust Managing Director, Isiaq Ajibola were in Lagos before the postponement was announced.

The stage was already set with banners and pitch panels adorning the environment but with the condition of the pitch, the organisers had no choice but to shift the date.

No less than 250 golfers according to the organisers registered for the championship. (NAN)
