As the nation celebrates her 51st Independence  Anniversary, Nigerians have been cautioned against working towards tribal, ethnic and religious considerations.

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) President, Rivers State Chapter, Apostle Zilly Aggrey, who stated this recently in an interview, urged Nigerians to continue to work towards the unity of the country.

Apostle Aggrey noted that tribal, ethnic and religious sentiments would rather impoverish and underdevelop  the country, noting that Nigeria had all it takes to become a great nation.

The clergyman who also doubles as the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), condemned the multiple bomb blasts in Abuja and other Northern states, stressing that though terrorism is a global problem, Nigerians should work towards peace and unity.

He advised the Boko Haram sect to give peace a chance and dialogue with the Federal Government adding that government, might be interested in their agitation.

The PFN president who advocated for a national consultation among stakeholders  of the six geo-political zones in the country, condemned calls for was national conference which he said would not have effect due to the democratic institutions.

According to him, dialogue was needed to handle the issue of terrorism as the unity of the country was being threatened.
