CAN Partners Political Class For Nigerian Unity
The new chairman of Rivers State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Apostle Zilly Aggrey, has pledged the readiness of his organisation to partner with the political class to ensure a united Nigeria.
Apostle Aggrey who gave the indication in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt, said politicians need the prayerful support of the clergy to enable them succeed in governance.
The CAN Chairman who is also the chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), in the state, noted that politicians must carry out their duties with the fear of God and warned those threatening the security of the country to desist forthwith.
He used the opportunity to disclose that CAN is equally collaboration with an international Ministry to hold a mega crusade in the city of Port Harcourt early next year as a way of strengthening the work of God.
On his part the Vice President of Oral Roberts Ministries of United States of America Dr Michael Bernard said a four days Mega Crusade would be preceded by Ministers conference in October 20, through 21, organised in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rivers State. He noted that the Ministries conference for Pastors, Church leaders and workers has as it theme: “Receiving Breakthrough ministry”, and would be addressed by the President of Oral Roberts ministries, Dr Richard Roberts.
Other speakers expected at the event include President of CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Dr Samson Ayorinde from Lagos and Pastor Zilly Aggrey.
Dr. Michard Bernard, said about 20 years ago, the President of Oral Roberts Ministries had a vision to visit some countries and Nigeria was one of them but he could not reach Port Harcourt and ever since God has being telling him to come to Port Harcourt.
According to him, Oral Roberts Crusade comes with a medical team from the USA that would hold a free medical outreach to complement the spiritual revival and urged Rivers people to avail themselves of the opportunity to be blessed.
