Vietnamese To Revive Enugu Ailing Industries

vestors has arrived Enugu, the capital city of Enugu state, to explore ways of assisting the state to reactivate or revive some of her ailing industries and make them viable.
While in the state, the team will also collaborate with the state government to improve on its rice and cassava cultivation, production and processing.
Receiving the industrialists at the Government House Enugu, the state governor Mr. Sullivan Chime described their visit as a welcome development and a step further by his administration to reactivate her ailing industries and create jobs for the unemployed.
Governor Chime described the Vietnamese trade delegation as real partners in the state’s match towards industrialization, adding that their proposals to assist the state in the areas of rice and cassava production is in tandem with the administrations goals and aim.
The state chief executive therefore assured them that government was disposed to give them all the needed corporation and assistances to help them succeed.
He noted that full reactivation of government owned sunrise floor mills and other ailing industrial establishments in the state would help revive the economy of the state and create jobs for the youths.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and the Vietnamese commercial councilor in Nigeria, Mr. T. A. Hun Thinh, told the Governor about their readiness to assist and collaborate with the state in its industrialization programmes.
Mr. Thinh who represented that country’s Ambassador in Nigeria said that they are interested in reviving the state sunrise floor mills, the vegetable oil refinery, rice and cassava production and processing.
He noted that Enugu State has very rich soil for cassava and rice production, adding that if their experiment in reviving the floor mills work out they would venture into more areas that would boost the economy of the state as some of the proposed areas will include animal feed production, cake and biscuits, among others.
He thanked the governor for his vision to revamp the economy of the state and assured him of their corporation if encouraged.
