According to the SSS spokesperson, the arrest of a Nigerien bomber-suspect last month in Abuja, led to the discovery of the Suleja building being used for assemblage of improvised explosives by some Boko Haram terrorists in the area.
She said: “The confessions of a Nigerien suspect arrested on the 4th of August 2011, led to the uncovering of a 2-room shelter located in a remote area near suleja in Niger State where all manner of improvised explosives are assembled for terrorist bombings.”
She added that the arrest of the said Nigerien had also led to the arrest of five others who had all confirmed their membership of the Boko Haram terrorist group of Maiduguri and their involvement in most of the bombings that had taken place in the Suleja-Zuba axis.
Specifically, the SSS spokesperson said the six suspects altogether had confessed to their involvement in the bombing of the INEC office in Suleja on 8th of April 2011, bombing of the All Christian Fellowship in Suleja on the 10th of July 2011, killing of four policemen at Dajwa Deideiin FCT on May 22nd this year.
The bombers were also said to have disclosed the identity of the supplier of the materials for their improvised explosives, whom they said is a miner in Nassarawa but already in the net of the SSS.
Items recovered by the SSS men at the bomb manufacturing building during the raid include, a Honda Civic Car with Borno registration number, a battery connected to a detonator, 2 laptops, 200 pieces of detonators, a gas cylinder amongst others.
The suspects, according to Marilyn Ogar will soon be charged to court.

Consequently, on 4th August, 2011, a suspect who is a Nigerienne national, was apprehended in connection with the bombing incident in Suleja. He confessed to his involvement in the bombings as well as his membership of the Boko Haram sect. His confession led to the arrest of a thirty-one (31) year old indigene of Imo State who converted to Islam in 2003. The second suspect, who is born of a Nigerienne mother, was brought up in Niger Republic, where he had his early education. He also admitted to being a member of the Boko Haram sect as well as having worked in concert with a third suspect from Kano State to carry out attacks in Suleja. The five (5) suspects all confessed that the main supplier of the explosive materials used for their bombing operations is a miner from Nasarawa State who the Service eventually arrested on 30th August, 2011. They also confessed that they took part in the killing of four (4) policemen at a check-point at Dakwa-Deidei in Bwari Area Council of the FCT on 22nd May, 2011.
