Kerosene Distribution Continues In Imo

The distribution of kerosene at designated filling stations of the 27 local government areas of Imo will continue, Gov, Rochas Okorocha, has promised.

Mr Chinedu Ofor, the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the governor disclosed this to journalists in Owerri, while stressing the need for the

people of the state to support the rescue mission of the Imo governor.

He noted that the governor had ordered for more trucks of kerosene, pointing out that the idea was for Imo people to continue to benefit from the exercise.

The The recalls that Imo state government had earlier ordered for the sale of kerosene at N50 per litre with the view to maintaining the Federal Government approved price.

The SSA restated the state governments commitment toward the eradication of poverty in the area, and called on people to maintain orderliness at the filling stations.

Ofor noted that the governor had earlier warned against the sale of kerosene above the normal price, adding that those involved in such malpractice would be prosecuted.
