Ex-LG Boss Lists Benefits Of RSG Investments
The immediate past Caretaker Committee Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Rivers State Hon. Azu Nkomadu has said that the efforts of the state Government to invest in Agriculture would create employment opportunities for youths in the state.
Hon. Nkomadu who said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt said that the proposed rice plantation by the state government would create more than 1,000 jobs for youths in the state.
According to him, if such plantation is sited across the 23 local Government Area of the state the rate of unemployment in the state would be reduced to the barest minimum.
The former Caretaker Committee chairman also stressed the need for other programmes that would create job opportunities for youths in the state.
He said that during his one month as caretaker committee chairman of the council a number of opportunities were created for youths in the area, with a view to boosting employments for youths in the local government area.
Hon. Nkomadu also said that his administration also embarked on the grading of roads in some rural communities, renovation of health facilities as well as the maintenance of peace in the local government area.
He used the occasion to advise youths to be peaceful and law abiding as everything is being done to improve their condition.
