Abe Restates Commitment To South East

Senator Magnus Ngei Abe says he is determined to transform the Rivers South East Senatorial District and would partner with any person no matter his party affiliation to achieve the objective.

He was speaking when the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate in the April 9 Senatorial poll in Rivers South East,Dr. Nomate Kpea paid him a condolence visit at his residence in Port Harcourt.

The PDP Senator praised Dr. Kpea for  withdrawing his petition from the Election Tribunal and promised to work with him towards delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the Senatorial District.

“I have no problem with anybody with meaningful contribution that would make it possible for the constituency to get transformed. I believe we can deliver more when we work together. We are earnestly looking forward to your advice and support”, Abe said.

Earlier, the ACN candidate also an America based medical practitioner had described late Madam Abe as dear to all Ogonis at home and in  Diaspora.

He assured that he and his supporters will identify with the Senator in the burial of Madam Abe and reiterated his willingness to support him to succeed in the Senate.

Meanwhile, the condolence visits to Senator Abe, was added with colour when a choir group came to console him.

The group code-named Royal Male Choir led by its director, Enitoun Iyalla, condoled Abe  with special rendition of  songs title; “It is well with my soul’’, “O God our help in ages past”, Master the tempest is raging”, “Oh when the saints go marching”, “Abide with me” and “Hallelluah” chorus.

Responding, Senator Abe said of all those who visited him, the method used by the group in condoling him, was more consoling and spiritually edifying.

Other groups and individuals who condoled Senator Abe are Elder Chidi Nwiyorka, Bishop Friday Nwator,the sole administrator of the State Pilgrims Board,Rev.Fr. Nwangbu, the executives of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Khana Local Government Area, Representatives of Rivers Voice, a non-governmental organization, Ogoni Media workers and Rivers State Independent Publishers Association (RIVPA).
