‘SSTF Board Will Actualise Amaechi’s Vision’

Chairman, Board of Directors of the Rivers State Social Services Trust Fund, Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, has assured that the board will work tirelessly towards actualising the vision of Governor Chibuike Amaechi-led administration for the people.

Pastor Wigwe, who was speaking during an interview with The Tide at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, noted that the 13-member board is doing everything possible to make the development agenda of the present administration to yield positive result.

According to him, people in all parts of the state will soon feel the impact of the fund being generated, pointing out that the benefit of the fund are numerous.

He said: “The board is doing everything possible to bring the vision of the Governor Amaechi-led administration to reality for the benefit of everybody in the state people in all parts of the state will soon feel the impact of what the fund was set up for and I think it’s something that will give them joy”.

The fund, he continued is to be used judiciously for the provision of quality education, health care services, infrastructural development among others adding that the source of raising funds has been put in place.

Comprising professionals with long-standing experience, the board will ensure that money realized is used to develop the state as well as provide jobs for Rivers people.

Calling on the people to support the government, the board chairman said everybody working in the state would contribute to the fund to get the required services, stating that government cannot do everything alone.

Said he: “Rivers State should embrace and support the fund by contributing to the social contributory levy already signed into law”, adding that, the fund would continue to exist even when Governor Amaechi leaves office.
