Team Rivers Female Basketball To Deliver Gold

Rivers State female basketball players have promised to deliver the gold medal  today as the team play against Delta State at the Garden City Sports Complex  popularly known as Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

After winning at a range of 64-54 against Team Lagos, the happy Captain of the  Team, Briggs Mildred said she already felt fulfilled by coming this far and  believed they were ready to put down Team Delta to increase the gold haul for Rivers  state because they had been able to overcome stronger teams like Lagos and  Kaduna.

Briggs is optimistic that her team would bring in gold for Rivers State. “we  have been working hard as a team and determined to ensure we keep the gold for  Rivers state, we are not taking chances with Delta State because we are aware  they are a good team too but we will play to the finish and win for Rivers  state, Mildred said.

Meanwhile the Team Lagos and Team Rivers are set to play in the finals of the  male basketball. Rivers won Kaduna on a 68-61 play while Team Lagos won Enugu on  65-61. Kaduna and Enugu will play to determine the third place win.
