Team Ondo Promises Council Chairman Gold As Birthday Gift

Team Ondo contingent to the 17th National Sports Festival, the Garden City Games has resolved to show their appreciation for the benevolent gestures of the chairman of the Ondo State Sports council, Hon Bamido Omogbehin to pelt him with more gold medals as he adds one more year to his July 17, which also coincides with the sport festival month and year.

According to the captain of the contingent, Fisayo Bello who spoke on behalf of the Ondo State athletes.

Hon. Bamido Omogbehin is a good father who made himself accessible to all the athletes. It was a major factor tht made the athletes getting beyond last festival records in Kaduna.

The Team Ondo captain further expressed the gratitude of the state contingent to the entire management staff led by Mrs. Joyce Idowu Akinbolumo and the board members.

In a related development the Hon. Commissioner for Youth Development & Sports in Ondo State, Yekini Olanikpekun has further charged the state athletes through their coaches still in various competitions to put off complains against poor officiating and focus on the events in order to win more medals for the state.
