Sokoto PDP Begins Campaigns For LG Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto South Local Government Area says it has starred house-to-house campaign to ensure victory for the party in the July local government election in the state,

Hajiya Luba Hassan. Secretary. PDP Gagi Ward, told newsmen in Sokoto on Wednesday that the party had set up machinery   to promote its ideals.

“The PDP has come to stay in Sokoto and we will do all that we can to sustain its tempo in the area,

“We won all elective positions during the just-concluded general elections and we are set to win the chairmanship and councillorship seats in July,” he said.

Hassan explained that the people of Sokoto were nor interested in a political change as, “we are very much comfortable with the manifestoes of the PDP”.

She called on party supporters to continue to exhibit maturity by promoting political tolerance and understanding for the overall political development of the State.
