Rivers Dotimi Records 4 Gold Medals In Swimming
Team Rivers Dotimi Okokogagbe has single handedly won four gold medals and one silver in swimming in the ongoing National Sports Festival.
Dotimi who contested for Bayelsa state during KADA games 2009 and won one gold, two silver and two bronze dumped Bayelsa state for Rivers.
Rivers state had wisely wooed athletes from various states of the federation with some mouth watering and young Dotimi was attracted as she joined the team.
She has won gold in the 100m freestyle, 200m breast stroke, 50m breast stroke and 50m butterfly and is still hopeful of more medals in the 45medals swimming event.
Currently, Delta state tops the swimming medal with about ten gold medals to their credit while Rivers closely follows behind with about nine gold medals; Great for Rivers state that could only manage just a bronze medal in Kaduna 2009 festival.
