Obuh Includes Azeez, In Squad U20 World Cup
Captain Ramon Azeez has been included in Nigeria’s Under-20 squad to the World Cup.
Azeez and two others failed to make it to the team’s training camp in Faro, Portugal in time to beat a deadline set by coach John Obuh and the coach had initially threatened to leave all three out.
But after considering their circumstances, Obuh forgave the trio but decided to include just his skipper in the final 21-man squad.
“With Joel Obi not coming, the coach needed a strong midfield, and it was celar that it was not really the players’ fault that they could not get visas, so he forgave them and has now called Ramon to help strengthen the midfield.”
