Nothing Will Stop Our Medals Challenge, – Ekiti Gymnastic Coach
The Ekiti State Gymnastic coach in the on-going Garden City Games in Port Harcourt, coach Samuel Ladipo says, the distance from the university of Port Harcourt and the associated traffic situation will never hinder his team from winning medals in the games.
Coach Ladipo who said this in an exclusive interview with Tidesports at the Port Harcourt Civics Centre said that the team is being schooled on how to overcome situation.
Although the University of Port Harcourt the venue of the camping is far from the civics centre my team is already aware of the traffic situation in Port Harcourt and is making arrangement to overcome it.
The coach however described as genuine, complaints of the coaches that the long distance between the University of Port Harcourt and the civics centre would deny their teams the benefits of winning medals.
“No problem is without solution. I suggest that the Rivers State Government should create an attractive route for sports men and women and that will make it conducive for them to compete effectively” he said.
The coach however commended the Rivers State Government for ensuring security in all venues of the games stressing that no members of his team has complain of harassment from any quarter.
