Emenike Charged To Court In Turkey

Days after being arrested as part of a match fixing investigation in Turkey, Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike has been charged to court.

The forward was one of 26 people charged after questioning.

Eleven others were released.

Emenike is alleged to have been caught on camera negotiating to withdraw from Karabukspor’s home game against Fenernahce in return for joining the Yellow Canaries if they become champions.

He is also alleged to have been caught on tape receiving money.

The player is yet to respond to the allegations.

The Nigeria Football Federation have asked to be furnished with details of the player’s case.
