Burgled Chess Office: Ikuru Expresses Disappointment
The chairman of the Main organising committee of the on-going 17th national sports festival, Garden City Games 2011, Engineer Tele Ikuru has expressed disappointment over the burglary and raiding of the chess office at the civic centre by unknown criminals.
The office was burgled in the early hours of Wednesday with nothing left in the office as the criminals made away with almost every pin in the office.
While visiting the arena, Engr Ikuru who is also the Rivers deputy governor noted that it was not just the lost equipments that was painful but the information contained in them saying it will not portray the state in good light regarding the time in which it happened.
He also tasked the LOC security officials to search for those involved and ensure that they are brought to book.
