FCT Coach Thumbs Up Table Tennis Venue
The Head coach of Table Tennis in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, has described the venue of the Table Tennis event at the on going National Sports Festival (NSF) the Agbani Darego Hall in Port Harcourt as very conducive for the game.
Davids made this declaration in an exclusive interview with Tidesports yesterday during the first day of competition there, saying that the Hall is one of the best he has seen in the history of the sports festival.
He noted the clean environment, good lighting and space available at the venue.
“I considered it one of the best because the environment is clean, the Hall is spacious and good lighting system.
You know in Table tennis, the two key things are space and good lighting system and the hall have all these qualities”, Davids observed.
The head coach, expressed optimism that his players would clinch all the medals in the event because they had been in intensive closed camp training for over a month before the festival.
He used the forum to appeal to all athletes to be friendly and exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship to achieve the purpose of the sports festival.
Earlier, one of the players of FCT, Babatunde Mayowa, who won his first game, said he his happy with present performances, saying that he will maintain his present feat.
“I am happy that I won my first game, this has given me the morale boaster to win other games”, he stated.
Mayowa, also commended the environment and the hall as a good venue for such sports.
