EMOLGA To Adopt New Approach For Project Dev
A bottom-up approach is to be adopted in the development of project in Emohua Local Government Area (EMOLGA) of Rivers State by the new administration of the council so as to ensure that such projects meet the expectations of the people.
Making this known in his speech at the formal inauguration of the EMOLGA new administration in Emohua, Friday, the new chairman of the council, Chief Allen Nma, said the approach became necessary because of various complaints in the past where development projects did not meet the people’s expectation.
To this end, he said that the council under his leadership will always liaise with various community groups to seek their opinion on the most cherished project that will meet their needs which the council would be able to provide.
The EMOLGA boss said also that his administration will focus on peace to ensure that peace reigns in communities of the local government and pleaded with those that enjoy crisis to have a change of heart.
Nma also posited that the council will partner with all the Community Development Committees (CDCs) for the development of communities and urged all to join hands together to build the local government.
He described EMOLGA political family as a successful one, saying that the 2011 election was done without any casualty, as well as promised to advance on the standard set by the former executive chairman of the council, Chief Emeka Woke.
