Council To Improve Standard Of Living

The Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Council, Dame Maureen Tamuno, has pledged her commitment to improve the standard of living of the people in the area.

Dame Tamuno made the pledge while swearing-in the new council secretary, Chief Stephen Maina Omubo in the area. She maintained that her administration was poised to effect reforms as well as reposition the council for the benefit of the people.

She noted that transparency and accountability would be the focus of her administration, adding that the new secretary should ensure dedicated to his duties and work ethics to fast-track the development of the area.

The council boss reminded the secretary that a lot is expected of him and urged him to Justify the confidence reposed on him, adding that she had mapped out viable programmes and projects that would rapidly transform the area.

In his response, Chief Omubo pledged to work diligently to ensure effective and efficient administration, in the council.

She commended the council chairman for finding him worthy to serve and assured that he would not fail the people.
