CJ Lauds Nigerian Law Teachers
The Rivers State Chief Judge, Justice Iche Ndu has commended members of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT) for their contributions in raising the standard of teaching of law students in the country.
Justice Ndu made the commendations when the executive of the NALT paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Port Harcourt recently.
He said the judiciary and indeed the entire country are reaping from the fruit of their labour adding that a lot of innovations had been introduced into the teaching of law profession by the association.
According to him, new courses have been introduced into the profession to enable the young graduates of law meet up with the present challenges and urged them to continue in their effort to make the profession continue to rank first among other professions.
The State Chief Judge assured the association that judges in the state would partner with them to ensure the success of the 2011 conference billed for the state later next month.
Also speaking, a senior Judge in the state judiciary, justice Boma Diepiri while thanking the organisation for their steadfastness in the improvement of the standard and quality of law graduates in the country urged the group to double their efforts in that direction to achieve better result.
Earlier, the President of the Nigerian Assoication of Law Teachers (NALT) and Dean, Faculty of Law, Rivers State University of Science and Technology Nkpolu, Port Harcourt, Mrs Bunmi Akaakar said they were in the office of the State Chief Judge to intimate him on the forth coming 2011 conference in the state.
She solicited the cooperation of the State Chief Judge to enable them host the conference and thanked him for the opportunity given them.
