Rivers YSFON Ends Screeing Exercise, May 25

The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Rivers State branch, has called on clubs that have not been screened for the 2011 YSFON competitions to pick a date at the YSFON Secretariat at the Alfred Diete-Sports Complex, Port Harcourt for the screening of their teams.

State Secretary of the Federation, Mr Collins Wejinga made the call in a press release made available to Tide Sports.

According to him, the exercise which commenced on the first day of this month, would end on May 25th, saying that, the body had intensified, its screening among the youths clubs in the various local government areas of the state.

The statement also said that a meeting with all club managers and coaches will hold on the 29th of this month at the YSFON Secretariat for the draws of the 2011 YSFON Grassroots Sports/Human Development Programme, adding that only managers and coaches who have screened their teams would be allowed to attend.

Also, the Federation Technical Committee of the competition has vowed to deal ruthlessly with club managers and coaches who indulge in age cheating during the screening exercise.
