Police Probe Prophetess’ Mysterious Death
The Rivers State Police Command is currently investigating the cause of death of a prophetess, Mrs Chikerugbwa Paul who allegedly died in a chemist shop.
Mrs Paul was believed to have died in the medicine shop of a chemist dealer shortly after she went into the shop for undisclosed reasons.
The 48 year-old prophetess was the Founder of the Lord Solution Ministries along Abba Street, Mile I Diobu, Port Harcourt. The deceased was a mother of five children.
Sources informed The Tide that the late prophetess was alleged to have died in the store of the chemist dealer along Lumumba Street on Friday after an injection was administered to her at the chemist store.
It was gathered that Late Mrs Paul had gone to the shop of the medicine seller at 4.pm without informing any member of her family.
The husband, Mr Godspower Paul who spoke to The Tide at his residence at Abba Street, Mile One, Diobu yesterday said after repeated calls to his wife’s phone on that fateful day, the late wife could not pick her calls until the phone went off.
Mr Paul said that the chemist dealer who knows the family could not contact them if there was emergency, but allegedly took the corpse to the BMH mortuary at 12 midnight.
He said it was in the process of depositing the corpse at the BMH mortuary that he could not explain his relationship with the victim and the mortuary attendant invited the police which led to his arrest.
The Tide learnt that the chemist dealer on interrogation revealed the identity of the woman to the police before the family was contacted.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ben Ugwegbulam said he was not aware but wouldl confirm and relate back.
Unfortunately, his call did not come before press time.
Meanwhile when The Tide visited the house at 9am yesterday, the church members were surprised of the death of their leader.
