Hos Cup: Ministries Of Transport, Agriculture Open 2011 Edition

As the 2011 and third edition of the Rivers State Civil Service Football Competition, Known as the Head of Service, Hos Cup Kicks off today at the sharks stadium, Port Harcourt, the ministries of Transport and Agriculture are set to thrill fans in the opening match.

The encounter billed for 4pm is expected to attract the crème de la crème of the states civil service and football fans in the state.

According to organisers of the competition, everything has been put in place for a hitch-free competition, which forms part of the activities for the service’s annual week celebrations.

Both teams, which are yet to reach the finals of the two year old competition are expected to field their best legs today to start the competition on a good note.

In the second match of the day scheduled for 5 pm at the same venue the Ministry of Culture and their women Affairs counterparts will trade tackle to determine who advances to the second round stage.

The ministry of information and communications is the defending champion of the competition which is played on knock-out basis.
