Opposition Plot To Blackmail Amaechi Exposed

The Acting Chief Press Secretary to the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Blessing Wikina has called on the people of the state to be weary of the new antics of the governorship candidates of some opposition parties, to blackmail the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship flag bearer, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi.

In a statement in Port Harcourt, yesterday, Wikina noted that having failed in all other efforts to smear and rubbish the credibility of Governor Amaechi, the desperate opposition candidates have now resorted to concocting media messages that would paint the governor in bad light.

According to the governor’s aide, currently, they have gone to a studio in Port Harcourt, mixing voices from different occasions at different times, in a bid to produce an artificial Radio Jingle, purported to be the voice of Governor Amaechi and that of Chief Nyesom Wike, to be aired on various Radio stations.

“They have, however, failed to know that no amount of smear campaign can erase the change which Governor Amaechi has brought through good governance to Rivers people”, he said.

The governor’s aide therefore called on the electorate to be careful, not to give into the antics of those who had encouraged acts of criminality, brigand and war in the past, emphasising that peace is what is needed now in the state.  “ That jingle is a manipulation product”, Wikina declared.
