Stakeholders Unite For Amaechi’s Victory

Stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State have resolved to work together to realise the victory of Governor Chibuike Rotimi  Amaechi and other PDP candidates in the area during the forth coming elections.

The Chairman of the Amaechi Re-election Campaign Committee and Chairman of Etche Local Governemnt Area, Hon. Ephraim Nwuzi stated this at the flag off  of the PDP  campaign, held at Community Secondary School, Igbo last Saturday.

Hon. Nwuzi told the party supporters that the stakeholders took the decision to work together as one family for the victory of the party in the area.

According to him, the people of Etche were not noted for belonging to opposition party rather they have always supported the winning party in  the country.

“We have reconciled our individual differences and today we are more strong and united one family than before, so we are sure that the victory of the party in the area is sure”, he added.

He urged the people of the area to vote en-masse for President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor  Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke and all other PDP candidates during the elections.

In his opening remarks the PDP chairman in the area, for Nwauzoma Nwiyi represented by the Secretary Mr Godnews Anaele  said the flag off marks the commencement of the party’s campaign in the area.

Mr Anaele stated that the people can not afford to vote for another  party in the area during the forth coming general elections adding that Governor Amaechi’s track records in the area score the party highest among other parties in the area.

He thanked the people of Etche for their resolve to join hands with the party to sustain the on-going  development  projects initiated by the PDP led administration in the state, assuring them of delivery more people’s oriented projects if the party is re-elected in the state.

Also speaking, a stakeholder in the party, Prince Emma Anyanwu averred that the people of Etche can only remain relevant in the government if they cast  their vote for Governor Amaechi and the party candidates during the elections.

He stated that the people of the area can only bargain for any position or contract when they cast their votes for the party and assured that  PDP will win all contesting positions in the area.

In his own speech, a former chairman, Board of Directors, Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Sir Isaiah Choko assured that the people of Etche Local Government Area would cast 95 per cent of their votes for Governor Amaechi and all PDP candidates in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party Candidates in the area, Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke while thanking the people for the confidence reposed in them assured that they will not disappoint the people.

Hon Nwuke stated that the PDP government in the state had provided the people with infrastructural development adding that state government has built twenty-six model schools in the area.
