Rivers Health College Holds Maiden Matriculation

Students of Rivers State College of Health Scqience and Technology have been enjoined to embrace discipliqne and shun social vices.

The Provost of the College, Dr. Nwanna Onyekwere, gave this charge during the first matriculation ceremony of the institution.

He stated that the Institution contributes about eight per cent of the State’s manpower and provides support for the health sector.

Dr. Onyekwere thanked Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for contributing to the upliftment of the College by building two additional hostels.

In her speech, the Registrar of the institution, Ms. Owanate Lawson said the major problem confronting the school was the absence of a governing council and expressed hope that the council would be constituted soon.

She however, advised the students to shun any behaviour capable of rusticating them from the College.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the President Student Union Government, Mr. Emmanuel Daddie, expressed the joy of the students and thanked the State Government and the Management of the school for making the occasion a huge success.
