LG Boss Assures On PDP Victory In Etche

The chairman of Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi re-election campaign for Etche local government area of Rivers State, Hon Ephraim Nwuzi, has given assurance that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will emerge  victorious in the forthcoming general elections in the area.

Hon Nwuzi, also the Etche local government council boss gave the assurance during the PDP campaign rally held at Afara in Umuselem clan last Wednesday.

He stated that the party was working very hard to ensure the victory of all the party’s candidates in the area adding that the party takes the campaign with serious concerns.

The council boss called on the people of Ulakwo Umuselem especially Afara Community, the home town of Chief Ambrose Nwuzi, an  ACN House of Representatives candidate and urged them not to allow one man to drag the entire people backward.

Presenting the PDP candidates in the area to the party supporters at the rally, the PDP chairman, Etche local government area, Comrade Magnus Nwiyi said the candidates emerged after the party primaries adding that it was the agreement of all the party stakeholders in the area that all the candidates should fly the party’s flag for the 2011 elections.

He described Hon Ogbonna Nwuke who is contesting for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency House of Representatives, Hon Golden Chioma (Etche II) and Engr Victor Amadi (Etche I) for Rivers State House of Assembly, as credible candidates that would represent the people very well.

Speaking on behalf of the party candidates, Hon Ogbonna Nwuke thanked the people for the honour to represent them at various levels and assured that they would not betray the confidence reposed in them.

He stated that the local government area has enjoyed a lot of support from the party and urged the people to reciprocate the gesture by casting their votes for the victory of the party in the area during the forthcoming elections.

The House of Representatives hopeful for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency told the people of Afara that if voted into office, the community would be provided with water project.

Also speaking at the rally, some stakeholders of PDP in Etche, Hon. Obi Njoku and High Chief Jerome Eke, told the people of Ulakwo Umuselem clan that they cannot remain to be in opposition party adding that the entire people of Etche have resolved to cast their votes for the PDP in the area.
